Q: What is the group size?
A: The maximum number of bikes is 15/tour. Custom and private tours with lesser or more bikes/tour are available on request.

 

Q: What kind of clothes/rain gear should I bring?
A: Please bring a variety of clothes and appropriate riding gear. Do not forget your rain suit just in case. A list of suggested gear to bring on a tour       will be provided in your road book prior tour start.

 

Q: Can I bring my own bike?
A: Yes. You can bring your own motorcycle on any tour. Please contact us at tour@california-sunriders.com to get a quote and for more                        information.

 

Q: Do I always have to stay with the group?
A: No. Even though everybody prefers to ride within the group you can ride independently.

 

Q: What is the hotel category on a guided tour?
A: We usually stay at 3* to 4* hotels in prime locations on a guided tour. A detailed hotel list will be provided prior tour start.

 

Q: How much luggage can I bring?
A: You can bring one suitcase and one duffle bag per person. Personal items can be stored in the saddlebags of your motorcycle.

 

Q: Do I need to wear a helmet, do you rent helmets?
A: For your own safety we require to wear a helmet at all times. The rental locations provide helmets for the duration of the tour but we encourage     you to bring your own helmet for safety and comfort reasons.

 

Q: Do I need a motorcycle license?
A: Yes, a valid motorcycle license is required to rent a motorcycle or ride a motorcycle on our tours.

 

Q: What is the minimum age to book a tour?
A: You have to be at least 21 years young to rent a motorcycle.

 

Q: Can I or my passenger travel in the support vehicle?
A: The support carries only one seat row and is for luggage transportation, tour equipment and emergency purposes. Only in case of a real                 emergency is it possible to be transferred in the support vehicle.

 

Q: Do you require a deposit to book a tour?
A: Yes. A deposit is required for guided tours, bike/hotel packages and rentals.

 

Q: How much money do I need for gas?
A: Approximately $20/day.

 

Q: How do I get to the hotel on my arrival day?
A: Most hotels offer an airport shuttle service. Detailed information will be provided in your arrival letter prior tour start.

 

Q: Can I book pre and post nights?

Q: What kind of insurance do you recommend?
A: Worldwide health insurance and trip cancellation/trip interruption insurance is highly recommended.

 

Q: What if I don't have a motorcycle license but want to participate in a tour?
A: You can still participate and we can organize a convertible or car of your choice.
